We focus on meaningful participation, strategic partnerships and quality interventions to address humanitarian challenges, promote peaceful coexistence and amplify the voices of marginalized and minority communities in Somalia.

Livelihood and Food Security

ARIMWAC has been involved in livelihood programs since 2021 to cater for women, children and other vulnerable groups in Somalia. The organization implemented a number of projects on livelihood since its establishment and supported the vulnerable groups to improve food security, cash for work and creation of small-scale business. We have been implementing distribution of food voucher and agricultural inputs to:

  • Empower small-scale farmers improve their food production through distribution of farm inputs.

  • Empower vulnerable women to establish small scale business to combat dependency.

  • Provision of food voucher distribution to improve food accessibility among the disadvantaged.

  • Provide employment generation opportunities through rehabilitation of public infrastructure.

  • Provide vulnerable people with Cash assistance to increase household income during emergencies.

  • Distribution of water through vouchers to improve water accessibility.
